So you know these are truly what I love and recommend.
So let’s get to it.
1. Stitch Fix
Stitch Fix was the find of 2017 for me. The key to living a more efficient and happier life is the ability to make decisions. There’s a reason Mark Zuckerberg has the same breakfast every morning (I tend to as well) and many successful entrepreneur wear the same outfits ever y day. Less time spent making decisions on things that don’t matter means you can focus more on the areas that do – the ones that will help you grow and feel fulfilled.
Shoppping for clothes is that for me. I don’t like it. I’m not good at it. It overwhelms and frustrates me.
Stitich Fix has solved those issues for me. I don’t have to step into a mall or browse online cataglogues wondering what on earth would suit me and what would go with what. I detest it.
With Stitch Fix I filled out a introductory form giving details of my body measurements, interests, lifestyle and style preferences and budget I’m assigned a stylist who selects outfits for me based upon my profile and a Pinterest board I add images of styles I like. Sends her selections to me in a box. I choose what I want to keep and pay for it. What I don’t I want, I send back.
It can suit any kind of budget and the stylist fee you pay is only $20!! It’s so effortless. And I loved the outfits chosen for me.
I told her I had two conferences coming up and needed an outfit to suit that. Bingo. I got it and clothes I would never have chosen myself and now I wear all the time. You can choose how often you want them sent out or just request random things for event.
Like recently, I requested some outfits for winter in New York for our upcoming travels. I’m elated I can put my order in like this and have something delivered to my door at a reasonable price.
It’s a very exciting travel gift for her – those who love to look good but don’t necessarily love trying to figure out how to do that with clothes.
The woman in your life will lvoe it, trust me, especially if she is super busy, which I’m guessing she is.
2. Travel Wallet
I have been longing for a travel wallet that holds my passport and travel documents for some time. I’m tired of digging around in my bag for them.
I was delighted with these hand made travel wallets and accessories from a small company from Portland, Oregon called From Marfa. From Marfa’s mission is to create unique travel items that last a lifetime and won’t break the bank.
Jessica, the owner reached out to me to send me some samples and I was delighted to try it. The minimalist Long Wallet is perfect for my travel needs as I don’t need to carry my big wallet filled with cards I don’t use when I travel. It has space for my credit card and licence and then my passport. I can also fit my phone in it.
There are smaller sizes as well in case you don’t want the longer one.
I love the symbols on them – they mean and the stories that connect to each one. Like the Bogolan, an African mud cloth accessories pouch. It’s made from handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud. Each pattern on the fabric tells a different story and secrets which are passed from mother to daughter in Malian culture.
and the Astoria leather passport wallet. with Japanese waves fabric. The pattern is called Seigaiha which means ‘blue sea and waves’ ans is perfect for the adventurer with a connection to the deep ocean and the infinite possibilities that your travels will bring. This wallet was inspired by a visit to Astoria, a quaint Oregon town.
I find them very chic They’re leather, light weight and I feel very glam using them.
3. Underwear Organizer
I discovered the underwear organizer last year, and my packing sanity was saved. I never imagined I would love it as much as I do. It keeps my undies and my socks organized and so easy to find. I love how it rolls up and fits neatly into my suitcase and I can hang it in the wardrobe for easy access.
It’s also great to take into the bathroom (particularly if you are camping or staying in shared accommodation). No underwear falling on skanky wet floors. I also love the designs for the Origami Underwear – keeping up the fresh glam look.
4. Jewellery Organizer
I may travel with too much jewellery but at least it’s organized and I can easily see what goes with my travel outfit for the day. I use this jewelery organizer even when I am not traveling. I love how it rolls up really small and then I can easily hang it in the wardrobe when I check into my room or arrive home.
Before discovering this earlier this year, my jewelery was one hot mess in my suitcase getting lost and caught in everything.
5. Packing organizers
I love looking in my suitcase and seeing how organized everything is AND colorful. Packing organizers are the ultimate. I never used to think they were necessary until I got them and realized how incredibly chaotic my packing used to be which caused me stress and chewed up time trying to find things.
These are the organizers I love
For the Aussies, you might want to check out some of the packing organizers I love from local company Globite over here.
6. Pink Hardcover suitcase
I recently prucahsed a pink Delsey 29 inch Expander Spinner trolley suitcase which I love. I’ve always had softcover black two wheeled suitcases that were pretty crappy. A good suitcase makes a huge different. Now I can pick out my suitcase on the carousel immediately, it rolls effortlessly. I love how I dn;t have to angle and drag, I can just push on the four wheels.
I like how the when you open the suitcase it has two compartments one on each side and one has a zippered section so you can put the things you don’t want seen in there!!

7. Vera Bradley Cosmetic Bag
this cosmetic bag is large enought to fit in the basic make up I need throughout the day to top up and small enough to fit in my cross body bag. I love the vibrant design, I have the red one and the girls have a purple paisley one. She has lots of didfferent designs
I love traveling with a cross body bag. I like to carry as little as possible and have my important things easily accessible. I don’t like to dig around in big bags that hang off my shoulder or in backpacks.
Cross body bags are safer too as it’s harder for someone to steal from you. Everything is in the front of you. I like having a few zippered pockets as well so I can keep smaller items like my phone, headset and pens separate and easier to find. My cross body bag fits in my new camera too which is so exciting.
9. Merrell hiking shoes
A great travel gift for women who love walking and hiking are Merril Moab hiking shoes. These are a new addition to my travel wardrobe – a birthday present from Craig and the girls. I’ve been using my Keen sandals for the past four years, which I really love, BUT, the leaves are turning and we’re about to experience our first winter in about four years. The sandals just won’t cut it anymore.
I tested this out on our recent leaf peeping trip to New England. I LOVE them. Super super comfy and lightweight – my essential for travel shoes. No blisters necessary. I love the style and colour and they keep my foot sturdy and protected and the grip is great,. They are also waterproof – an essential for a pair of hiking shoes.
They are stylish enough to wear with a pair of jeans as well.
10. Panasonic Lumix
It took me some time to research and decide on the best travel camera to suit my needs. I wanted a camera I could use for vlogging and to take my own photos. ITt;s jsut s secondary camera so I wasn’t going to go big budget and fancy, but I wanted quality for a decent price. My requitrements were,
- flip screen
- lightweight and small
- External mic capabalilties
- Excellent focusing – this was the most important thing for me. I
- 4K video a bonus
After reading a ton of reviews and getting lots of advice I decided the Panasanoc Lumix G7 was the one that best fit what I wanted for the price. I am AMAZED at this camera. I like it even better than I thought I would. It’s super easy to use, the design is brilliant, it takes amazing photos, the focusing is so so good. It’s better than our primary camera which we need to upgrade.
I love it. If the woman you love wants a good mid-range camera, that can fit in her cross body bag and is easy to use and captures amazing memories, this is the camera for you.
I purchased this pack with a bunch of other accessories in it, which will probably come in handy. A great starter kit.
11. 2018 Planner
This travel gift is more suited to the business woman. The one who carries her work wherever she travels. A good organizer, or planner is key. I have a million ideas, tasks, and appointments running through my head on any given day. I need an organizer that helps me bran dump, jot, strategize, plan, and schedule. One that helps me reflect is also beneficial. This year my favourite has been the Passion Planner. I have the large. in the pink which is no longer available, but this year they have rose gold.
The only thing with this planner is that my first one fell apart – they did replace it, and said that the stitching on this edition was faulty and they were going to fix it. The second one I have is starting to fall apart again. I’d still buy it again as I love it but just to give you a heads up. Customer service was very good.
After looking on Amazon, I have just purchased this one for next year. I LOVE it. It’s very similar to the Passion Planner, but I love it’s focus on the manifest’s very in tune with my way of viewing the world, and it will keep me focused on manifesting.
For anyone, wanting to purchase the next gift for her, this would be the perfect accompaniment. My mind is ticking now as to how I can create something that will go with my Money Mindfulness course.
